Amy and Grant’s wedding was held at the West Coast beach venue of Strandkombuis (about 1.5hrs from Cape Town).  Great beach & seas view and yummy seafood!

Some of the highlights included a dancing down the aisle, traditional hand binding ceremony, and super cool guests…unforgettable!

Donne was introduced to me by a primary school friend whom I had connected with on Facebook…in fact, I got to catch up with two other primary school friends at this wedding (talk about going waaaay back)

Any-hoo, Donne and James flew over from the UK to have their wedding in the picturesque setting of Monkey Valley.  Originally, the plan was to have their wedding on the beach, but the Cape winds persisted.  However, since Donne & James came all the way for the great beaches we have in Cape Town, we couldwould not allow the wind to stop us! :p

Thank you Donne and James for being such awesome people and inviting me into your lives!

Katja and Harold are from Johannesburg and decided to have a little ceremony on Blouberg beach. Katja is originally from Eastern Europe and so, her family (which included her twin sister) come to attend!

Susana and Helder arrange for a small wedding from their home town, Johannesburg.  Helder’s beautiful daughter joined in their celebration as the flower girl/bride’s maid/ maid of honor

The wedding was meant to take place at Camps Bay beach, but the couple decided on Sunset Beach…a great choice as the typical summer winds had died out for us.

The event was organised by Helen from Agape – House of Weddings and the wedding offical was Johan Botha.

Boudine and Shaun, who are from Johannesburg, chose Oudekraal for their intimate beach wedding.  Boudine told me that they fell in love with the venue the moment they saw it…I can’t argue with that!

I headed out to Camps Bay to meet up with Boudine and the girls at 27 on 1st to start shooting their preparations..what I didn’t know was that I was meeting up with Bodine and her posse of FHM models…ARE YOU KIDDIN’ ME! They’re not just gorgeous girls, but really funny too…I had so much fun hangin’ out with them!

We soon headed down to Oudekraal where Boudine and Shaun’s family and friends, who travelled in from all over South Africa and overseas, would be joining them for the ceremony.  It was a beautiful ceremony, They couldn’t keep their eyes and hands off each other (I’m sure Shaun shed a tear as Boudine walked down ) Jo made an awesome speech and the tear’s started…WOW! Great job Jo

The highlight of the evening for me was the speeches; Gerhard, Bo’s bro’, made a very humorous speech, Shaun was just amazing (truely, madly, deeply) and Bo’s was moving (it got me all misty-eyed…”er, no something flew into my eye”

To all of Boudine and Shaun’s friends/family..thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! You made me feel so welcome…I love you all!
