Keela was introduced to me by our previous Trash The Dress bride, Kathryn.  They’re BBF’s and Kathryn was on hand for hair and make-up…brilliant job!

Just like our previous TTD couples, Keela and Adrian are flippin-absolutely-amazingly-awesome! As a photographer, you could not ask for better!

However, Annette and Oliver also booked us for their Wreck The Rok (Trash The Dress) session which also got postposed a couple of time, until we caught a break in the weather. So, we managed to supplement their wedding album with some create (and unique) pictures.

Fast-forward to today, Shaun & Kathryn are now married for just a couple of weeks (Monica Dart did a great job with their wedding pictures), for when we scheduled the session.  It was a windy day, but no-rain!!!! :p

After being denied access our first location, Shaun spotted a potential location…we scoped it out….we snuck in…and boom! We created some images

I really need to add that we were joined by Sybrand Cillie (ProPhotography) and Kathryn’s Maid of Honor, Vicky (You should have brought your dress and joined in the fun!!!!)

I love you guys..you were awesome!

We were blessed with great weather and awesome light as we worked our way around Tokai Forest.  We were joined by uber-photographer, Sybrand Cillié (ProPhotography) who kept us entertained with his funny antics

On this shoot, we were joined by my wedding assistant/2nd shooter Bernard and videographer extraordinaire, Mark from GooseBump Productions, to get in on the fun and action.

I must again thank Tasquia and Mohammed for being so enthusiastic, which helped us create awesome moments and have fun doing it!

Answer: Your wedding dress!

The concept of Trash The Dress has been around for a year or two and mainly been a trend in the UK and USA, but has had very little interest here in South Africa {I have a feeling that is about to change }.

The concept is simple:

1. Admit that your dress will never be worn again and is taking up valuable shoe space in the wardrobe.
2. Book a Trash The Dress session with your photographer {preferably us }
3. Be prepared for the most outrageous fun you can have with a wedding dress!!!!!

I recently had the privilege to hangout with Du Wayne Denton and Christine Meintjies to shoot Santel’s TTD session.  Santel contacted me a couple of months ago to enquire about TTD…she was getting married in Cape Town and wanted to get some extra mileage out of her dress before heading back to the UK.

I want to say a BIG “THANK YOU” to Santel and (her husband) Dan: You guys are just too beautiful and awesome for words…Santel, you’re a real trooper (She was eager to try anything…just how we like ‘em) . You are both ROCKSTARS in my books!

I was contacted by their wedding photographer to do their re-shoot. So, we made a date and set a course for Llundudno beach. The weather forecast was for strong winds and light rain….but who can predict the weather
