Jenn & Jeff had a venue in Houtbay in mind, but after discovering that there were going to be some restrictions on the reception, they quite easily looked for a venue more suitable…that venue would be Bonamanzi, a brand new venue about 15 minutes outside of Worcester along the Breede River.

The theme was “Rainbow Colours”.  An arch of colourful balloons towered over the couple when they exchanged vows.  Jeff has the most awesome Converse High Tops custom made. Jen handcrafted Jeff’s wedding band.  Check out their blog http://www.thejeffiner.blogspot.com/

There is so much to describe about this awesome wedding, that I feel a little overwhelmed, so I’ll skip to the pictures:

The wedding took place at the wonderful Le Franschhoek Hotel and Spa and was attended by friends and family from Scotland, England and South Africa.  The theme of course was Scottish, so it was all about kilts and bagpipes with a purple colour theme.

Shona wore an amazing Vera Wang dress and shoes from Harrods (in London) and had them personalised with Swarovski crystals.  Her hair and makeup was done by her totally rad friend, Tito.

Lourens spent a lot of time and effort making this wedding unforgettable; He designed their rings, the wedding cake, the skull wedding pieces, personalised Nike iD sneakers…he even sang the Johnny Cash hit “Ring of Fire” to Shona (I’m a huge Johnny Cash fan)!

Other highlights of the day was:
- The bridal party walking down the isle to a rock version of Amazing Grace (Bag pipes + electric guitar = AWESOME!)!
- A whole table of jars filled with assorted sweets!
- A rock band!
- Custom graffiti’d groomsmen shirts.
- Rock music allll-night-looong!
- Some music and singing from Lourens’s family!
