Karma Chameleon

I was working in the garden this afternoon, when this peculiar figure emerged from the wall ivy just next to me…a Cape Dwarf Chameleon. I know that they’re protected and I’ve always wanted to cross paths with a chameleon. I was so excited, that I dropped my garden tools and dashed inside to grab my Nikon D700 and 105mm F\2.8 macro lens!
I don’t know if I’ll see him again, so I wished him well ![]()

Hey, wild life photographer I say dear chap! Look like he almost bit your head off in the last image. Great photos! Rare sighting of these chameleons are awesome!

Mitch….these are stunning pictures of this incredible beautiful “garden Being”….a blessing for you to have spent time and photographing him in your garden! I love the last pic…i think he was blissfully smiling and talking to you! Amazing shots Mitch!! can’t wait to see some of your child soon…:)
